Do you have trouble keeping up with your favorite TV shows simply due to lack of time? Sure the advent of DVR has made things a lot easier, but still, many have trouble sitting down in front of the TV to catch up given their “always on the go” schedules. Well, things just got a whole lot easier thanks to the Verizon FiOS App as the company announced that customers can now stream content from their DVR to their phones, tablets, or PC anywhere a data connection is available.
The idea of being able to catch up on your favorite shows while in a waiting room, office, airport, or even just in another room in your house is a welcome idea and another great technological advance that will undoubtedly be a popular choice when it comes to entertainment. The service will be available to FiOS Quantum TV and FiOS Internet.
From PC Mag:
“The latest innovations of the FiOS Mobile app are how today’s consumers want to watch TV and view content,” Susan Retta, vice president of consumer marketing for Verizon, said in a statement. “These new features allow our customers to take their home FiOS TV experience with them and to enjoy it whenever and wherever they go.”
The Verizon FiOS app is definitely offering a service that will set the tone for what’s expected when it comes to DVR for every company that offers TV and Internet services, it should be interesting to see how other companies respond by offering similar services.
